Von 24 Jahre alten Reben stammt dieser knackig, frische Chenin Blanc. Aromen von grünem Pfeffer und Apfel begeistern.Im Glas ein zartes Zitrusgelb. In der Nase ein frischer Duft von grünem Apfel, etwas Gras und etwas Würze die dezent an Pfeffer erinnert.Am Gaumen dann ein sehr frisches Erlebnis! Vorne spielt der Wein mit frischen Aromen vom grünem Apfel. Zitrusfrüchte und grüner Pfeffer kommen hinzu. Eine erfrischende Säure und ein nicht zu breiter Körper machen diesen Wein zu einem perfekten Sommerwein oder ideal auch als Apéro. Im Abgang zeigen sich nochmals Aromen von Zitrusfrüchen....

The Ernst & Co Sauvignon Blanc was vinified from grapes sourced in the Darling ward close to the West Coast, a renowned area for this white wine variety, as well as grapes from the farm in Stellenbosch. The grapes were harvested at 23° Balling. The must fermented dry in stainless steel tanks and was left on the lees for four months. Lovely zesty entry with aromas of fresh passion fruit and fig, finishing with crisp acidity and excellent length. A great accompaniment to shell fish, particular Cape Rock lobster....

The carefully selected grapes for the Ernst & Co Chardonnay came from bush vines cultivated in the Swartland region. These grapes were harvested manually and pressed in February. The must was fermented in French oak barrels, which has contributed to the wine’s structure and complexity. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was in contact with the lees for a period of two months. This was followed by a gentle racking and a further four months in French oak barrels. The Ernst & Co Chardonnay was bottled in August. Aromas of fresh almonds, peach and lemon with a subtle hint of vanilla and spices on the nose and an intense lingering aftertaste, makes this elegant wine ideal to serve with lightly spiced dishes. A wood matured chardonnay with good ageing potential....
